Last night on an evening walk, I was greeted by one of my most favorite creatures “who-ing” at me.  I spotted a great horned owl atop a big tree.  A wonderful sign indeed.  This is not a picture of the friend I met, but this is what a great horned owl looks like.  So beautiful!

Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.
